When signing this years class while going to a new program is kind of important……it’s more important to get the right coach and keep your first class in the top 20.
Then subsequent years, mom and dad will be telling their son to take a look at the right coach at LSU.
Then you worry about top 5 classes.
To reiterate, some coaches have signed a top5 in their first year…..that’s cool. But signing the right coach is the best thing to do.

Jimbo was blowing smoke to shoot the rumors down. One recruiting class is not worth giving up a job you want. Recruiting is a crap shoot and these coaches know it. Realistically it’s 2-3 years before you see the full impact of a class. That’s not worth turning down a job you want.
