I don't even think that would be allowed. He'd have NCAA violations looming over his head the hire would probably not be okay.

Is this not the type of guys we currently have on the roster and failed miserably at running 4-3 with ?

where he was coaching had a lot to do with who committed to him.

So FSU and Georgia are superior to LSU? That list of guys he recruited were not all to Bama. He is an elite recruiter...

Don't know why you guys are debating this he wouldn't be allowed to coach anywhere in the SEC anyway. And yes, we could still fit a 3-4 scheme with our personnel.

I don't know much about Freeman but if Pruitt is available you make him the best offer possible at DC. Pay him between $3-$4 million per year. Pruitt put together elite defenses at FSU and UGA along with coordinating national championship defenses at both FSU and Bama. I think Pruitt is the best DC in college football.

Do you people really not see what defense these people run before posting?

Freeman runs a 3-3-5

Both run a 4 man front when needed

So what’s your point?

Alabama’s best talent comes from Louisiana, that’s an easy fix

Julio Jones, Mark Ingram, Amari Cooper, Derrick Henry, Tua, Jeudy, Ruggs, Mosley, Eddie Jackson, Najee, Leatherwood, Ryan Kelly, Jonah William’s, the list goes on. Didn’t come from LA

Collins, Smitty, Moses. Came from LA.

It’s ok to admit that Alabama success is totally reliant on Louisiana.

Does O go after him? Those Pruitt coached bama defenses were nasty.

So what his D as an HC does not count but Mason's does? Interesting

Pruitt has obviously firmly cemented his name as one of, if not the best DC in the game. Not to mention he has created a pretty solid foundation of defenses everywhere he has resided. While it can be argued his recruits have laid the brickwork to his success, he is undoubtably the better Mason in every aspect.

Might as well make him a HC! Oh wait! He is a HC right now at Tennessee! The problem might have been that he is lost now and over his head? Maybe nick Saban found a way to make him do somethings and it worked like magic!

Your entire LB core currently and heisman WR are from Louisiana. I could add a ton of players to this.

Do his Defenses as an HC matter?

He has always coached much more talented players than Mason, which led to better defensive rankings. In the times where the talent was close UT/Stanford, Mason's D performed on the same level or better. He coached at FSU, UGA, and BAMA, Mason coached at Stanford and Vandy. There's a HUGE difference in the talent level. Yet you think he's undoubtedly the better Mason in every aspect. The only aspect that his undoubtedly better in is opportunities.

I didn't say that, but they are superior to Cincinnati since that's where the comparison was made.

If saban had a chance to get Pruitt back on staff then he'd tell Golding to gtfo with the quickness.

The great part of this whole coaching carousel is that we're layering the staff behind O with guys that are capable of running or growing into running a program

Another important aspect of this is that many of these people have strong LSU ties and/or can theoretically be strong recruiters. This is probably the most underrated aspect of the program O has built. I hope to god that one of the next pieces is Mawae. He’d be an absolute picture perfect elite fit as OL coach

Another example of it being pretty easy to coach top talent.
