So, basically what you're saying is Jimbo has to SIGN a contract BEFORE we fire Miles. Not possible. We will fire Miles with the HOPE that Fisher isn't fishing for a better deal at FSU.

I'm not saying that at all. I agree with you. I was asking if Miles is fired or better yet, decides he is tired of the bullshite and retires. then Jimbo says no, who would you want that is realistic in that a scenario.

Calm down Francis. I know exactly who he is and his background. Are you saying the next coach has to be an alumni of LSU or coached here? That is just ignorant. I mentioned I like Dabo bit he wasn't at the too of my favorites. So if Jim Harbaugh was interested, you would say don't hire him because he is a Michigan man. Like Miles.

No buddy, dabo has stated his dream job is to coach Alabama.

Do your homework!

I'm as cool as they come, but some of u suggesting a change don't know wtf the future holds...

U are on board for firing the winningest coach in LSU history?

if so, your list of coaches should be short

Saban
Fisher
Kelly

I've been as huge Miles supporter. With all the chatter going on a out Miles being done, being a message board, I was interested in discussing possible candidates if Miles did leave. If he retired and Saban, Fisher and Kelly laugh in LSU's face when they offered the job, what then? You have to find a coach and I was asking who would be everybody's realistic choice in that situation. Not hard to understand.

How about a list of coaches who live in the AP polls and can run a program, guys who recruit LA well & LSU can outbid their current schools.
1. Jimbo
2. Mora Jr
3. Patterson
4. Petrino
5. Gundy
6. Sumlin
7. Franklin
8. Freeze

not so much the end of that list but i don't see Chip, Mullen & Herman being a fit at all. ive been wrong once before tho

I wouldn't touch Petrino with a 10 foot pole. Guy is slime. other than that, good list. Id add Stoops and Leach.

That's the kind of replies I was looking for.

Out of your list I like Jimbo, Patterson and Freeze. I like Herman on a hunch. I just have a good feeling that he will be a great coach. But I also thought that about Malzahn. I in no way claim to know who would be the best. Only what coaches I would like to see. I don't think Freeze would leave Ole Miss and I have mixed feelings on Patterson. Jimbo seems like a homerun since he has proved himself already.

I think Patterson would be a homerun, hes a great defensive mind and his offense puts up points as he has an OC with Leach roots.

What I do like about Patterson is his ability to change his coaching philosophy when he needs to. They used to be all Defense with an average Offense. When he knew he couldn't get the type of players for smash mouth, he went to the wide open Offense we see today. Yeah his Defense isn't very good but he has been in the hunt the last couple of years.

Yea i was thinking about adding Malzahn but he seems like an offensive coordinator as opposed to the face of a program,
Patterson and Mora on the other hand have that IT factor, born to run a great program

If we're just spitballing some of the names LSU should be looking at IMO that would include:

1) Jimbo
2) Chip
3) Patterson
4) Dantonio
5) Brian Kelly

I think Jimbo and Patterson would be the easiest fits but I'm not sure they would end up being the most successful

Dan Mullen

He is a home run hire for LSU if we do or don't get Jimbo.

Oregon is easy to get good athletes. All the merchandise thrown at them and have you seen their locker room? Kids love the constantly changing uniforms and high flying offense. Just like the fans do but it won't work in the SEC. Please understand football and don't look like bandwagon fans.

It won't work? Really? If you understand football then you would know it actually can work and has in the SEC. Now you have to have a good defense paired with it or you will just be Texas A&M or Auburn from this year.

Br'er Bear could have coached Auburn to a championship with $cam.
