I can see where you're coming from.

But take a look at the recent college to NFL hires.

Saban
Petrino
Harbaugh
Kelly

3 of them ended up BACK in college and the other is on his way there. These are all great coaches by the way. Being a great college coach doesn't hardly ever equal great NFL coach. Herman would see that better than most. He may bolt, but you can't just assume he will either considering the prime examples.

Who cares...we'll worry about that after we have more hardware in the case and he leaves. Better to have a coach other teams want than one that nonbody is interested in.

He's gonna bolt in 4-5 years. It's beyond foolish to believe he's going to be here longer than that. So who's waiting in the wings that could be viable options then?

Some people are miserable pessimists. TH has not even been introduced and you are ushering him out the door. I bet you planned your divorce the day you got engaged-- even before she said "yes". Did you also make a list of who might replace your bride?

TH will not coach at LSU forever (he may not coach here at all). But for the life of me, I don't understand writing his obituary before he sets foot on campus.

lol..charlie will be available in like 24 hours..so you can have him then

LSU won't need a coach in 24 hours.

UT, on the other hand, needs an entirely new administration to drain the swamp in Austin.

Because the NFL is going fricking nuts over spread offenses. It's the new NFL wave.

Spread offenses have been in the NFL for a long, long time
