I would like him to coach the Tigers regardless of a win today.

That would be a recruiting disaster.

Not more than Riley. Let's not get emotional.

He is a good coach but I don’t think he is a good fit here. I do t think he would do well recruiting here either

Honestly Campbell, Aranda, Napier make more sense than Riley from a bang for your buck stand point.

The Riley love is out of control.

Are we trying to get a bang for our buck or the best coach possible? Didn't know the LSU coaching search was a trip to the thrift shop. Hire the best coach available. Riley and Aranda fit that mold. Then look to others.

I don't put Riley above the other 3. They are all in the same bucket. Any of the 4 I just mentioned is capable of 9+ consecutive seasons. There is absolutely zero reason to pay Riley 12 mil a year when you can get any of the other three for 5-8 mil and achieve the same desired outcome.

One of us? What are you talking about?

And Saban doesn’t say shite like this when they lose. Only when things are going well.

If you are comfortable with 8-5 type seasons as long as the kids are getting degrees and being great dads and husbands, that’s awesome because that is important for their future as adults but I just don’t think that model would last long at LSU.

Saban always talks about focusing on the process and not the results and corny shite like that.

The man has Iowa state as a better team than lsu over the past two seasons. Think about that. Nothing to do with getting degrees. He could coach circles around our previous two coaches.

My only question is how dirty he’d be willing to get in recruiting.

I'm torn on this one.

I lived in OK as a boy and have fond memories of the place, and I really want Bedlam to be the "big game" (with hopefully OK State winning and making the playoffs to upset applecarts).

However, I like what MC has done at ISU and don't want to see him lose.

So, hopefully, MSU will beat OSU to cause apoplexy over Mel Tucker.

he is at Iowa fricking State. In 85 games they've beaten Oklahoma 7 times. Campbell has 2 of those
