just doesn't have the track record as a HC. He had 2 weeks to prepare for bama and didn't. I love the guy and wish he would stay to assist in recruiting and coach the DL.

100% this

O would be a great asset to any staff but that's all he is. An asset. Not the main guy.

I think he brings fire back into the program. He can recruit as well as Coach Miles, but would step back and allow the OC do his job.

Other than being a good recruiting coordinator, O will bring nothing to contribute to our success. Any new coach can bring fire initially. Any coach can hire good OCs and DCs to call the games and stay out of their way. Why do we want to pay a recruiting coordinator head coaching money?

Look, everyone wants to beat Alabama and Coach Saban. Whether we like it or not, we are back into the same cluster when Coach Bryant was at Alabama. It doesn't matter who we bring in to coach the team, we are not beating those guys as long as he is there. Now, having said that, I think it will take a 1982 type beating to cause Saban to retire like what happened to Bryant.

Wow. It's great to know that you've already given up on having an elite program. You deserve Ed Orgeron.
