We can get used to seeing the LSU defenses of old as long as he is here. Hire a good OC and RC and we will be competitive every year

You mean the defense that was nauseating to watch at times... with his soft arse prevent that allowed teams to drive the entire field in seconds?

Yeah the one that beat bama, Florida, Georgia, OU and Clemson…all of which (minus Georgia) had high powered offenses.

Yes that one

I wouldn’t be mad. He’s extremely professional and would be a good ambassador for LSU as well as a very focused and methodical coach.

I’m not sure who my own personal top 3 realistic choices are yet, but I’m pretty positive Aranda is in my top 3.

I wouldn’t have wanted to promote him straight from DC to HC, but having 2 years of head coaching experience now with very positive trajectory is solid. We’ll see how he finishes his season.

Go ahead and never post on this site again. If you think Aranda’s defenses were bad, you need your head checked.

Yeah. I agree

I’d be much more excited about Aranda than Mel Tucker

He is more qualified for this job than Tucker because of his time here

If you don’t have recruiting in the equation the best thing would be Aranda as HC, Joe Brady as OC and pay me like $100-200k to be DC since aranda will likely run the defense. I’ll just hold a packet of plays up in the booth so the rant doesn’t melt about me not doing anything.

I agree and he can bring his oc too...for anyone who says a defensive guy shouldn't be a head coach at lsu then I'll say nick Saban says "hold my beer"...he was nothing but defense before he was a head coach...dB coach by trade

Posts like this are why I hope no one in this fanbase ever gets to make an influential decision.

Ya Plumlee is still at Ole Miss.

I’m pretty sure we were up big that game and pulled the starters and he ran for a zillion yards. We were up like 31-7 at halftime and most likely playing pass prevent the entire second half. But way to skip out on the context.

Nobody gives a shite about garbage-time points and yards except your dumb arse.

Dude Aranda had fantastic defenses. His defense became almost legendary towards the end of 2019. Look at the scores against a&m, georgia, arkansas and even OU and Clemson

What makes people think his defenses will meet the standard he has set versus failing to field great defenses like while head coach like Chizik, Muschamp, and other defensive gurus?
