Besides Bama, was there any team on this years schedule that we shouldnt have beat?

Hell.. we had a real shot at beating Bama. It was a battle of the retard offenses.

But no.. we should have beaten Auburn and Florida. I think Wisconsin is better than LSU this season.

Hopefully Random is correct and Aranda, Raymond and O are retained.

Do we want O on the staff? He's been sowing discord to our local media regarding Miles since he came on the scene. He has a lot of pluses, don't get me wrong, but his opportunism and ambition are startling.

If you need a resume in front of you to figure out why Jimbo would be a good hire then you don't watch cfb.

That's something none of us can answer. Only the next coach can figure out if it'll work out by siting down with O.

From a DL and recruiting standpoint, you have to want him around. But I do understand the sentiment.

This is true, but this offseason, I heard an awful lot of Cheerleader and the Prince saying sources tell them that Miles has a game plan then abandons it the day of the game and everyone is frustrated. I'll give you two guesses where Cheerleader and Coach Prince got that scoop, and the first one doesn't count.

This is a pretty "LSU-y" take of Jimbo and the type of thing you'd have seen written about Miles from other fanbases who looked at LSU from a distance.

Sure, Jimbo gets more out of his QBs, but the results (W/L) are remarkably similar and, until recently, he's had a much easier schedule to navigate. Guys like Ponder, Manuel, and especially Golson were not good, even in college. Their stat lines look better, but I largely attribute that to style differences.

If you spend time following any FSU folks, they have pretty similar complaints that we did about Les:
-Conservative on offense
-Teams consistently underperform talent level

Not to mention, Jimbo has his Malleveto in his current DC, Charles Kelly, and doubled down on him last year, giving him a fat raise and extension.

Jimbo's a good coach. He's not really the offensive savant a lot are imagining him to be. He has flaws, just like every other coach. It's kinda silly to shine up his resume and curiously skip by the pieces that reflect poorly on him.

I would love for him to stay. Keep him as recruiting coordinator, dl coach, whatever the hell else. Give him a raise and let him recruit.

Unless he has an offer to coach somewhere else, we will know how much he was pro LSU if he just quits when he isnt offered the job

I understand the concern, but I would point out that when Jimbo cornered the market on top defensive guys like the only good Stoops and Pruitt, he had great results. When FSU refused to pay what is required in this decade to keep great minds, he started losing top coaching talent to Georgia. If Georgia has more of a commitment to football than you do, you need to find a new home. Can you imagine Georgia taking Mickey Andrews from Bowden? FSU hasn't had enough on defense in my opinion to keep him at the 23-1 three year conference record level.

From his lips, through Miles' ears, to Coach Prince and Jordy "I still don't think O is out of this thing" Culotta.

Money wasn't the reason Pruitt left. Widely misbelieved thing. Interpersonal issues there.

Money's not a problem for FSU. They will pay whatever is needed, including to keep Jimbo around and happy, which I assume is what is about to happen.

no, they are not. Jimbo as an OC was insanely successful. I didn't even post any of the Qbs or offfensive statistics from the other years he was a coach.

Ex: Cincinnati's offense was #14 in the country in the 1 year he was there.

I know multiple FSU fans, including one of my best friends. I also read their boards quite often since we are going after Jimbo. And I've seen many posts on here from FSU fans. I've not heard any FSU fan say they under perform when compared to talent. Go look at Bowden's last year and tell me how that makes any sense. And to call his offense conservative means those FSU you mention just don't know much about offense.

He had to because Pruitt left. Pruitt was his guy and didn't leave over money. He left because he's a scumbag who couldn't stop fricking co-eds.

by all means, please list his specific flaws. I have many more statistics to show that he is a phenomenal offensive mind and always has been.

That's not what Jimbo and FSU sources were saying. Commitment also happened to be the beginning of his beef with thee administration.

LSU pays 29% more to its assistants than FSU does.

Ex: Matt Mauck set a school record and threw for 28 TDs under Jimbo. Russell went on to tie that record of 28 TDs. Again, under Jimbo.

he also coached Dameyune Craig who is the only 3000 yard passer in Auburn history
