They closed the deal.

Son. Of. A. Gun.

ETA: they were at the game behind a closed door with the window. Laughing and yucking it up.

Man, these frickers never learn.

They should have the most relieved faces in the history of almost frickeds. They should look like they saw a ghost.

This just tells me they will be right back here and the lesson was lost.

This is way more than just retaining the DC. This is an investment in the future, because they want to ensure Aranda is around long after O fails. Aranda is the future.

"....and then I said, 'Ed..Ed stop...I know Ed, Ed listen to me! No we didn't mention the seasoned black ironed pot when we met the second time. We were saving that if things got desperate. Yeah, just go ahead and give it to him, we all know how hard you worked on it...hey, look at the time gotta run."

Don’t know if they deserve praise for getting this done or ridicule for an 11th hour plan of attack

Amateurs. They have botched every single coaching hire since Saban left. They should be taking stock Of how they got In this position in the first Place rather than yuck in it up for putting a band aid on a gaping head wound that they themselves caused.

Where do some people come up with these arbitrary rules? No, they don’t have to look like they saw a ghost. They can be happy with the positive news. How they were acting does not tell you anything about anything that is going to take place in the future. You would think that people would have learned to stop making predictions like this. I wouldn’t be surprised if you were saying Aranda to A&M was a done deal and bashing everyone from LSU involved. Logical assumption since you are mad about Alleva and the BOS being in a good mood.

I am pessimistic regarding this administration, but they clearly got the Aranda retention (expensive as it was) right. With the poor head coach hire they made last year, why not celebrate when you are able to retain one of the critical pillars supporting your program.

How hard is it to close the deal when the participant is getting a 70% pay increase for a four loss season?

I was being hyperbolic. I have no confidence in this administration. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Remember. It was Miles that found Aranda. You think King/Alleva/O brings in Aranda if he wasnt already on the staff?

They sure can but they should also count their lucky stars and look like it. Whenever I barely pull out of a shitty situation my face tells the story. Happy is when your kid hits a homerun not when you almost get in a car accident on the interstate. Thats called "relieved" not "happy". "Smiling & Happy" in a situation like we just saw implies arrogance. This is the correct face for almost losing your best asset on your coaching staff..

Not this...

Youre right. It doesnt. But it can be a good indicator as to the kind of people youre dealing with. Smug, arrogant, untouchable pricks.

Nope. Not at all. Interesting comment coming from someone who in the same comment said this;

"Where do some people come up with these arbitrary rules? "

and

"You would think that people would have learned to stop making predictions..."

Im relieved they where able to keep Aranda. You dont throw a Relief Party. You throw a Happy Party.

Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, etc.
