The longer this drags out and no coach is hired it's obvious it's one of the guys that is still coaching in the playoffs or bowl game.

That is only true if the season were over and the other openings were being filled. Right now you're not going to hear any names unless someone hires someone who is not currently Coaching. Lord have Mercy.

Dude, it’s November 3. Any coach that we’re hiring is still playing ballgames regardless of their playoff status or otherwise.
Right now, literally everyone is in the same boat who’s fired their coach.

I care. I sure as hell don’t want to piss off the best coach in college baseball that has 2 national titles in 3 years. But if you are an extremely rare LSU fan that doesn’t give a piss about college baseball, then I can see why you don’t care.

It was actually announced directly to the media by the BOS.
The reality is that the need for a new coach has more urgent timelines than does the need for an AD. I guess they could cobble together an AD search on the fly for the sake of the coaching search, but the new coach has recruiting windows that have to be accounted for. The AD does not suffer from that concern.
I assume that’s why the BOS is doing this as they are announcing.
