Woodward went duck hunting 2 days ago. Would he do that if he did not have his guy locked up. The guy asked for 26 million to make O go away and then floats a 100 million dollar offer just for his coach. That's not the staff just the head coach. That's a lot of pressure to get your guy. Don't believe he goes hunting unless all of his ducks are in a row. Pun intended. Not worried boys. I truly believe it's done.

You think he's just on the phone 24/7? What else can he not do because of a coaching search?

A successful duck hunt lasts about 2 hours tops most times. I think he had time to conduct business and go duck hunting the morning before Thanksgiving.

This may be true but it's all about perception. If you were given 26 million to fire a staff and go out and get the guy with a 100 million dollar offer and you weren't successful you would want to be perceived as doing everything possible to get your guy. Hunting a few days before a hire is named without getting your man is not a good look. Which is why if he is comfortable enough to go he must have his man. Just my thoughts.

He duck hunted on thanksgiving y'all are reading so much into stuff. He has friends and family as well that he can hangout with on a holiday.

That pic was a message to show he has all his ducks in a row. We ride with the Navigator for the next 8 years.

Exactly right! SW can't take 1/2 day off because there's a coaching search going on? It's goose hunting. It's not like he's in the Himalayas hunting a Yeti!(That's a cold weather Rougaurou...fyi)

Your belief seems to hinge on the idea that wealthy/powerful/successful people can’t relax and have fun when they’ve got heavy shite on their plate. (Hint: They can.)

Thank God you clarified this. I thought for sure it was some kind of scallop.

I think this is the least telling thing of all.
Have you ever done something to take your mind off something? His responsibility is gargantuan, but it is a job. And no matter how great of an impact a job has, the person doing it needs to treat it as such. That includes taking breaks. If he's duck hunting on a day off I don't understand how that means he is done.
Have you never been in the middle of a multi-week project and decided to take a day for yourself?

No. But im in his position, im not going sit in a duck blind, potentially in the middle of nowhere with no or poor cell reception while in the middle of this thing. If im him, im hanging with my family during my "off" time, saving the hunting for when this thing is done.

If he had a normal job, I would agree. But he operates on a timetable. He has a pretty good sense of these timetables. If he's hunting, it's because there's an agreement in place.

The duck hunt was code to show that he enjoys duck hunting. That’s all.
