I agree.
As long as we have Aranda, I don't think we are going to lose more than 4 games a year.

However, I really hope we don't get false early success (like 8-4 or something that makes everyone say he needs a little more time) with a slow death of the program. If he is going to be bad..... I hope he flames out quick next year and the season sucks terribly. At least that way the Alleva and O years will be over quick and the program will survive this cluster.

The one thing O has going for him is he can identify and recruit talent with the best of them. While his gameday exploits leave a lot to be desired he is not a program killer since he will keep the cupboards stacked.

The question is if we fire O after one year will alleva be gone as well? Alleva can't be allowed to make anymore hires at lsu.

I have to agree with you as painful as it may be. Don't want the Mike Archer days all over again where we start off good his first year and win the Gator Bowl by beating USCe and then the next year declining a little and going to Tampa which is now the Outback bowl and losing to Syracuse and from that point on really down hill and took 2 to 3 years of losing and then Hallman . What a mess. If it's not going to work , let's know right out of the gates. Hopefully, I'm wrong and it will work out but Alleva seems to have the anti-Midas touch.

Alleva has the anti Midas touch because it unimaginative and lazy. Some people and Duke used to say......"His next creative idea or thought will be his first!" He is a bad AD that should go now regardless of outcome of this experiment.

I totally agree with you Nash-Vegas Tiger. Regardless of the outcome of O, Alleva has made enough mistakes that anywheres else , he would have already been sent packing.

The problem is he didn't get to do that last year as HC. This coming year will be the first where he runs the camps and evaluates the talent. Defensively, not many of his guys played significantly this season. Only Key has up front.

Are you even a fan?

Of all the nonsense I see on this board, this type of comment bothers me the most.

You can be a fan and still believe that something is wrong and hope for short term pain for long term gain in the program.

Being a "fan" doesn't mean you have to blindly and completely agree with everything going on in the program.

Now I'm completely against the O hire, but I'm willing to give him a chance. But I think it will ultimately be a failure. And the earlier poster was simply saying he'd rather the failure occur quickly so we can move on, rather than a long slow fail. Fairly logical opinion, if you ask me.

Hope it is great!!! However, better for the program if this stupid experiment ends quickly if it is not going to work.

Thanks Alleva you are a worthless AD.

5-3 in the SEC has to be the standard for Orgeron next year. Anything less would be a step backwards. 1 loss to Bama. Split UF and Auburn. Maybe drop a bad game on the road. Four SEC losses has to be considered unacceptable.

No doubt O needs a 10'win season next year. It's gonn get ugly if he goes 8-4. But it comes with territory. He bombed at ole miss and is a career dline coach. His two interim stints gets him another chance and that's fine. I didn't agree with a top 5 school as a 2nd chance but he got it. However he's not gonna have a long leash and rightfully so imo

8-4 is not success at LSU.

That would be deemed a failure.

8-4 or less and he should be fired with Alleva. It really is that simple. You don't fire Les and get this shite show!

9-3 should be hot seat material..... come with the territory of stupid hires like this.

Alleva is an absolute joke!
