I hope the Bama AD listens to the fans

I really hope he tries to please the fans and considers listening to them. You have to make the fans happy, right.
That would bode well for LSU and the SEC. Remember when Tenn was going to hire Schiano and the fans flipped out because he was connected to Penn State. Tenn backed out and hired Pruitt. We could only be so lucky that Bama would do something similar.
Scott Woodward has handled our coaching hires with such stealthiness that this kind of stuff doesn't happen and keeps the media out of it for the most part. Unfortunately the Bama AD will probably handle it the same way or they know who it is going to be already.

He hired Rich Rodriguez at Arizona
But also saw something in Jay Johnson and made that hire for Arizona baseball

The media takes random tweets and runs with them, like Lanning was in Tuscaloosa when he wasn't. The same with the Riley and Fisher stuff when O was fired.

Byrne knows what he is doing. This is a MAJOR hire for him, and I'm sure it's a daunting task. Personally, I have nothing against the guy except for his allegiance, but I hope he screws this up royally.

If I were the Alabama AD, I would take a shot with Jimbo Fisher. He is due to win big. He would win a national championship for then every 2-3 years.and can he recruit. And he looks good in maroon and white.
