Haha I remember all that stuff. But this is still fun and entertaining. I guess my happiness doesnt hinge on whether or not Kiffin is or isn’t hired. Although I do want LSU to succeed and win (and hire Kiffin), I just don’t take it that seriously. This is ALL Entertainment.

Proximo may have nuked a 20k plus post account today if his "sauce" is more ketchup than Scorpion flavored Tabasco.

Let's keep him in our thoughts and prayers during these trying times.

Tiger Droppings is in it’s full glory right now. Obviously, I want LSU to announce their head coach, but this is pure message board cinema. I look forward to wasting countless PM hours watching & speculating with everyone on this board.

I have a sinking suspicion that you will get your wish. LSU has presented an enticing offer to Kiffin that he very well might accept, conversely so has UF and Ole Miss. However the timing of the flight to Baton Rouge and announcement in the next couple of days being splattered across this board just does not make logical sense (IMHO).

Here is my thought process:

1. I cannot see Kiffin nuking the program that he successfully built before the end of the regular season. You just don't ask a group of men to put in the hard work, strive and sacrifice for a common goal and just walk away when you are on the doorstep (unless you are a scumbag like Bobby Petrino).

2. Like all coaches, he wants to finish his season with his team.

3. Barring something miraculous happening (aTm losing to Texass and Bama losing to Auburn) Ole Miss will not be in the SEC championship game, if I have factored the tie-breakers correctly, assuming Ole Miss takes the game from Moo St.

4. After this game is the appropriate opportunity to announce his intentions.

5. Ole Miss' alleged deadline of November 28, 2025 is just that an alleged deadline. And it really would not make sense to jeopardize the final game by forcing Kiffin out and running the risk of missing the CFP.

6. If a decision has been made, I think that only two people know for a fact which option will be taken, Kiffin and Sexton and neither one of them is talking.

7. Now this is where I get into a quandary. Sexton has a lot of clients for which he has not gotten extensions or new jobs. Would it be better to drop the bomb hoping to create a flurry of activity or would it be better to let more and more names become associated with different openings backing ADs across the country into a corner and forcing them to act to secure their present coaches. After all, we have not hit that wild rampant leaked rumor period (excepting the Kiffin situation) and the resulting flurry of extensions portion of this coaching carousel cycle.

Just look back on the preceding three coaching hires. We have him, we have him, we have him...no we don't.

I know that this is not what us Tiger Fans want to hear, but this may very well be the reality of the situation, another 8 to 10 days of this crazy roller coaster ride.

Of course, I might be 100% wrong and popping the champagne cork in the next few days. It's on the ice, but I just don't see this situation playing out that quickly.
