Just more time for Lane to raid their team to convince them to transfer
I think it would matter less to lsu if he continued coaching through the rest of the season to ole miss. Figurehead would be in place and assistants continue the portal season

Think it’s a bad look on them if they don’t. Best team they have had and they would enter the playoffs down their biggest piece over pride.

He’s already accomplished more than any other coach in the last 60+ years. He could raid them if he left weeks ago.
