The guy got the job and did great. He’s on a lot of people’s radar. If he goes we may look back with regret and also pride

I'd love to know the whole truth behind this. To me it looked like they were trying to run the same shite they were running last year which tells me they weren't running DJ's defense. I think stupid arse Coach O had his hand in it telling them what they were going to run until they all knew he was gone. I seem to remember Coach O and DJ getting to an argument before the changes took place.

Jones basically concocted the blueprint to slowing Bama's offense, and every team they've faced since then have used it to decent success. You'll see UGA use it this weekend in the championship game as well.
He then used that same blueprint to nearly shut down a prolific Arkansas offense and then got the win against A&M and Calzada.
Jones is a lot of the reason the Tigers have seemed to turn a corner in the second half of the season, that defense was just nasty at times and it was playing with one hand tied behind its back because of quitters and injuries.
His defense with a full compliment of stud athletes, and a full season, would be a nightmare for opposing offenses. Not saying that he should 100% be kept on as the DC, but it wouldn't be a bad thing like some are making it out to be.
He had to learn on the job (thanks Orgeron) in the toughest division in CFB, and it took him a bit but he's turned into a pretty great DC in his own right.
