So I don't understand, no matter how unrealistic, why anyone would want Gruden. Any success will net NFL rumors every single year. This is supposed to be the time of year we're celebrating our victory, discussing rankings for next year, and recruiting. I want our next coach to be a guy that can be successful and not have a rumor about leaving every other year.

I hear you. You would have to make the buy out astronomical. Like 5 million.

Or find someone for whom the job is something other than a very lofty stepping stone.

Meh. Not pleasant, but then, my life doesn't revolve around this shite, either.

Stepping stone to what? The only stepping stone LSU's job is the NFL. Only a few coaches have the pedigree to be considered for an NFL job.

Lot of posts for someone that acts like he doesn't care.

Does that mean I can't have an opinion?

I can't speak for you, but the sun is gonna come up for me tomorrow whether Les goes or stays. Fact.

Gruden just comes across to me as a bowden jo pa type of a coach. I feel that one day he will plant himself somewhere and stay there in that top 10 program for many many years

I love the rumors. Makes me feel like I'm watching a detective movie.

Especially the flight tracker threads.

At least LSU fans have only had to go through this twice over the last decade. Why don't you try two coaching searches in one off-season, circa Alabama 2003?

I don't know... a job at your alma mater, perhaps?

I'm not trying to be overly harsh on Miles, but all of his supposed sentiments about a "dream job" at UM seem to confirm this.

You seem to care enough to continue responding with your opinion over 16,000 times. Now you can say that you're unaffected but my opinion is that you're full of shite. "FACT" (pretty gay by the way...Fact)

Well I would think Miles and Michigan is the exception to the general rule.

True, but your failures resulted in a homerun hire that fell into your lap at the perfect time or it would have never happened.

That's possible, and its also likely that, with the sustained success that they have had, LSU is now a "career" type job for prospective head coaches.

Yes because that's exactly what I was insinuating. This is a message board largely about LSU football. So the fact that you are a frequent poster would allude to the fact that you care a little bit about LSU and a situation like this would warrant some type of positive or negative emotion from you.

Pretty reasonable dumbass don't you think?

Hey dumbfrick, where did I say I DIDN'T CARE AT All? What part of "my life doesn't revolve around this shite" did you fail to comprehend?

Please tell me you're not an LSU grad.
