Before you hammer me hear me out.

I have been thinking about this for days like everyone on here. I realize the risk to the program is great if he goes (recruiting and new coach unproven). I guess what has made me lean this way is it appears from Crowton's interview that he believes he is staying. I am not sure that my heart can handle another year of Crowton/ Miles. I respect him as a man and a coach but I think that mid way through the season, if not next week everyone on this board will once again be calling for Miles to go. This is our last chance for prob the next 5 years considering his contract may be restructured or extended.

Which way are you leaning now...especially if Crowton stays. I am on the record.

Imleaning towards the 'I don't care at this point just make a decision' side. Recruits are waiting.

I want him gone

Agreed. If he leaves at this point I hope LSU has someone lined up quickly.

Crowton being fired should be the Lynch Pin of any negotiations with Miles.

If Miles won't budge, drop the buyout and send him to MI. It seems like Miles turned them down, or they did not offer...I don't see why Miles would meet with LSU after meeting with MI if he had signed a contract with MI.

Doesn't Crowton just have a year left on his contract? Am I remembering that right?

The guy's been awful, but a new HC/OC is going to take a bit to get up to speed.

With the talent coming back next year, if I had to weigh bringing Crowton back, whom the team is familiar with, vs. bringing in a whole new coaching staff - Crowton seems like the less risky option. Especially if its just one more year.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Think about it. Things could be MUCH worse then Miles/Crowton, much worse. Do you not have one fiber of positiveness considering how good the offense looked against A&M.
