nets getting smoked again, this time by brian shaw (one of the other candidates) and the nuggets. thought it was strange to hire him straight out of his playing career but if anyone could do it it would be j kidd.
saw the story earlier today about he and frank getting into it also. a lot of people thought frank's presence would help ease the transition but now he is gone.

To the original point, I assume he'll have a long leash considering the circumstances. And let's see what changes over the next few weeks now that Lawrence Frank was basically fired from the staff. I mean he was their de facto Head Coach anyway.

You misunderstood my point. I'm saying comparing Spoelstra's leash/situation is completely different than Jason Kidds'. The Heat were never in this situation or anything close to it. If they had been, I suspect Spoelstra would have been fired, and he actually had a resume at the time, unlike Kidd.

Demoting one of the most respected (and highest paid) assistant coaches, to a "daily report filer" is totally absurd.

Everybody knew they'd be a repeat of last year's Lakers. Kidd needs to ride the assistant coach wave a little longer I think.
