How much is the Herman "offer"?

I've heard in the $6mm range. If Jimbo was in the $6.5mm to $7mm range, it doesn't look like we have much more room to negotiate for Herman, assuming Jimbo commands the highest $'s LSU would offer to hire a coach. That doesn't bode well if Texas whips out the check book in pursuit of Herman.

Does Texas just completely ignore the fact that Herman is a non power 5 coach and offers him like 8 mill or do they hold at a reasonable price? I don't think Texas would just let loose and overpay like crazy.

If a proven national championship coach was offered 6.5, you think a coach with 2 years experience is worth that? That's crazy. This is getting out of hand.
