What's the difference between the Chancellor and the President? Seems like when Emmert was the Chancellor he ran things. He brought in Saban and tamped down the good ole boy network.

Do we evens still have a chancellor?

I don’t know about the terminology or semantics. Someone mentioned Governor, how do we get these guys gone?

Again. Serious question...

Elections or recall. Word is getting around that Alexander may be leaving on his own. Somebody somewhere else was the second person in last three weeks to hear about this and re post. I consider it a rumor at this point. No backing evidence. Just out there. Alleva may leave soon after O if/when he gets canned.

Chancellor is over the university system and all its branches. President is appointed by the board and chancellor over the school, ie academics. Both must work together as there is a great deal of overlap in job responsibilities.

If they start turning schools upside down over an Assistant Football Coach I do not think you going to like the outcome.

In LSU's case, currently, they are the same person

I'm pretty sure the President title is for the University System and Chancellor is for the BR Campus. Alexander is both.

Wrong. At this point Jindal is still running things via his appointees. Jindal was the single worst enemy of LSU and higher ed and the biggest supporter of “disinvesting”( taking taxpayer $$ for education and using it elsewhere) in education so that private interest could eventually take over.
