How important is “SEC” experience when BK looking at coordinator positions?

Best available man for the job. Aranda wasn't an sec guy and he did well.

I think regional experience is useful, not necessary sec

I seem to recall a bit of an adjustment time but maybe that was just more system getting implemented

Depends on how much your position coaches can reinforce regional recruiting. You want best coach for the job but recruiting is just as important. If you get a staff full of amazing coaches but none of them have Southern ties to recruiting that's not going to work.
