How far has Mario Cristobal's stock dropped?

Before the season started, I made a thread on the MSB about the quality coaches in the SBC. Hud, Taggart, and Cristobal already being somewhat proven, and Pellini and Malzahn being promising new HCs.
Hud, Taggart, and Malzahn have continued to live up to their billing. Pellini took over a dumpster fire but could only pull out 3 wins.
Cristobal took a shite this season and also only won 3 games, after bringing FIU to a bowl game last year.
I only talked about these 5 guys because they are still on the upswing of their careers. Guys like Dan McCarney and Todd Berry are both retreads that will likely stay around where they are.

IIRC, he was offered the Miami job that Golden ended up getting... could be wrong on that.
regardless, I thought he'd be considered for the rutgers job last season... didn't happen... he's a good example of why coaches need to strike while the iron's hot, so to speak... I know most think they can win forever at their current gig, but a couple bad breaks/injuries/etc, and you could be staring a lifetime sun belt carrier (or worse).

I would say he took a pretty huge hit. Franklin is walking that same fine line at Vandy right now which is why I say that he needs to get out now when his stock IA extremely high.

agreed... at some point (probably this year) he'll hit the ceiling at VU... Their lack of fan support (even when they're winning), lousy stadium, limited talent pool, etc. will catch up to them pretty soon.
