And LSU has plenty of money. There are just a bunch of morons who control a majority of it.

Not to mention the SEC just signed a deal that will bring in 300 million dollars annually to the league.
Makes it a lot easier to stomach any buyout

Rane? I never would have guessed near that
10 richest people in Alabama - LINK
3. James W Rane – $900 Million
The third richest person in Alabama is James W. Rane, according to Forbes Magazine. He is the founder of Great Southern Wood Preserving Inc. He surpassed the wealth of the late Gary Drummond who previously held the position with a one-time wealth estimate of $980 million, but his fortune dwindled to $600 million prior to his passing… Another of the richest residents was the late Marguerite Harbert, previously the only billionaire in the state. Rane started his career in the lumber business when he took over the family’s fence post manufacturing company. It was a small operation, but since that time, Rane has built it into an operation with a total of 15 plants.
2. Raymond, John, and Marguerite Harbert ($6.6 billion divided and total split yet unknown).
The second richest person(s) in Alabama is the Harbert children. Their parents John and Marguerite Harbert passed away leaving a $6.6 billion dollar fortune to the children, but the divisions have not yet been made, as there are legal issues ongoing. Marguerite sued her brother Raymond over allegations of mishandling of the estate, so it’s hard to tell how the situation will shake out.

its like they have this massive war chest and have no problem spending it and running out coaches. Yet Lsu was so worried about the money when miles was fired they would not get into a bidding war with jimbo
Between YellaFella and Tim Cook, they have an impressive vault at their disposal.

Idiot LSU president got involved. He was more involved with scuttling the Miles firing than he was when Title IX violations were occurring. He’s now Oregon State’s problem.

Didn't they get a lot of Under Armor money as well? Kinda like Oregon gets Nike money?

When money is needed they'll pony up, as long as they feel their voices are being heard. Their money is never free
