That's the thing I'm bothered by. If all of these guys are being contacted then we need to make a hire. Most of the names that have been thrown around are all extremely qualified candidates. Make a hire before they find other jobs or get pay raises at current jobs. LSU is a very desirable job, but these guys aren't just going to wait around for us.

I do? There has definately been some qualified candidates who have said they are interested: Oregeron and Chavis to name two.

...and what makes you think that contact hasn't been made behind closed doors? Orregeron is in the playoff hunt with the Saints.
What if other DCs are practicing with their teams for bowl games?
What if there is a position coach in the NFL set to take the job after their team is out of playoff contention?

Where did I say that? There could be one or two that LSU made contact with to gauge interest with the terms being having to wait until said team is eliminated from playoff contention. etc. etc.

Does that mean when Miles doesn't officially announce injuries that there are no injuries?
Right or wrong, this is how Miles operates. Let him do his job. If he screws it up, it is his $3.5 million on the line.
