DC Jim Leonhard has been at the University of Wisconsin since 2017.

That's how LSU got Dave Aranda.

"DC Jim Leonhard began his coaching in his year off between retiring from the NFL and being named DB coach for the Badgers Leonhard spent his time studying college film with then-Wisconsin Defensive Coordinator Dave Aranda and familiarizing himself with schemes that exist in college football that aren't prevalent in the NFL, such as the zone-read option offense."

Instead of repeating why it isn't going to happen, going forward I will just laugh at those that make this suggestion daily.

He’s not going anywhere. He even turned down the packers defensive coordinator position.

Leonhard is not leaving his alma mater for another DC position. The top candidates should be Glenn Schumann (Georgia CO-DC/LBs coach, one of best recruiters in country) or Doug Belk (Houston DC)

I think we have our next DC on staff as we speak. Our defense has been very good last 4 games.

Lane Kiffin had to call and tell O what we were doing wrong on defense. I'm not kidding.

This.

He's basically the HCIW at Wisconsin.

Don’t think it’s that same thing. He’s a Wisconsin Alumni.

Could it happen, yes. Just think it’s highly unlikely.

Yeah. Wisconsin native. Was a walk on at Wisconsin made All American started there for 3 years. Went back after a good pro career became DC. Turned down the Packers. Great DC though

He is a great DC. Would love him at LSU. Just don’t think it would happen.
