Skip screwed that up.

Saban announcing a departure the day after Christmas screwed up the coaching hire.

Plan A coaches had all signed contracts at that point.

Skip was alright imo, better than Dean and alleva but not a "true" ad like woody and brodhead

With hires like Smoke, Van Chancellor, and Miles vs promoting Jimbo you are being kind. All 3 of those calls were the wrong choice.

Jimbo was ready and Skip being in the building should have recognized that.

Honestly, they are much worse at keeping them. Charlie Mack was able to hang the longest but never won the big ones.

The last 2 idiots that Both won
National Championships ?
Those idiots , WTF Miles was old school great, sorry boys but Yes Miles was stubborn, I think he would have done different with Scott as AD, O as I've said in "dozens of texts" if he screwed Les over aft. Les hired him well then that is frickED UP ! But he He O got right people who got right players etc and 2019,2019,2019
Undefeated and it beautiful ! Did it go to O's head , probably, did he have problems at home, probably STFW, I can't believe all the people that are so negative. Geaux Tigahs, RTWFU...This is Our House, lol ! Remember how many people Loved O saying that kinda stuff ? I do and I Loved it !
Will they be fired up to kick our arse ? Saban is their coach so yeah they will be Pumped. I hope we win but O said that after kicking their arse in locker room !

Nobody would have supported promoting Jimbo in 2004

This is the entire reason I wanted Les gone but was willing to keep him for longer than we should have. (Check my post history). I was deathly afraid of Alleva making a hire.

In Les’ defense (I can’t believe I just typed that) he kept LSU very relevant during a period where the best coach in CFB history was living in the same division in the same conference
he had arguably the best career in the history of LSU football. I get the frustration with him but he gets far too much hate. Orgeron is more like if Curly Hallman had Brett Favre at LSU. It’s not a close comparison.

Miles was a good hire. Was very successful here. He just didn’t adapt to the game

There just isn’t much evidence you can point to to discredit Miles

Skip had to wait until two days after Christmas to start his search. So there is that....by that time your pickings are limited.

He used the last two as examples after he said LSU has never been good at hiring coaches.

Reading comprehension is an awesome thing.
