There isn't a meltdown. I think it would have been worse for everyone if Saban would have gone to UT. He would have had an easier road to one of the four playoff spots and he would have hurt AnM and LSU in recruiting.
As an LSU fan, our SEC matchups are pretty vanilla now that villains like Tubby are gone and we don't play Spurrier every year. I welcome a game with a storyline to it.

No, the coach changes board is an annually opened board. Thus the board wasn't created because of Saban rumors.

If it is, cool. I didn't know. But, that's the only thing inaccurate about my post. Not sure about you specifically, but everyone saw your brethren jerkin each other while looking at photoshopped pictures of Saban wearing burnt orange. Every tweet. Every fake "source" and made up twitter account... every crumb of rumor they could dig up had them begging for more. This is pretty damn funny.
Gumps go into Gumpushima meltdown mode after the Iron Bowl then get mad at LSU fans laughing at them and mocking their pain.
Follow this with Saban doing what he did to us and playing them against other programs for a raise, they take Gumpushima to new levels, LSU fans laugh at them and mock their pain.
Saban gets a new contract out of them and all they can do is go NYAH NYAH! GOT YEW GUD LSU!!!
You people are not very intelligent. We've been playing him every year for how long now? Next year you don't have a QB... Personally I'd have hated to have missed next year's curb stomping of the processes.
Enjoy your delusions gumps. It's all you've got now and damn if they aren't more expensive than ever.

I'm aware of that. This year, the Coaching board is almost entirely Nick Saban rumors from LSU posters.

Yeah moron, this board hasn't been here since 2007. And fwiw, we had the same shite going on when Dallas was rumored to be perusing Payton. Flight trackers, creepy pics from restaurants in NOLA, real estate rumors, people claiming inside info because their kids went to school with his kids. That's what this board does. Y'all are the ones that have turned it into one big flame fest.

You have to wonder if they seriously believe we're scared of a team that couldn't beat Auburn and almost didn't escape Texas AM after what we showed a real coach could do to those schemes.

I know you're feeling all happy because your coach is staying (and I can relate to this), but if you continue to equate the overall CC board as being a means for LSU fans to obsess over Saban, you'll end up looking...well...dumb.
And by saying this, I'm not claiming that LSU fans don't obsess over Saban. Many of them do. That's *obvious*.
But the CC board is a yearly event that longtime TD posters look forward to. Most years, it's straightforward discussion about coaching changes. Sometimes (when an SEC coaching search is underway), things get more 'fun'. Sometimes things get crazy (like when Michigan has a HC job open or this year, with UT and Saban).
This is the first year the CC board posts have been focused mainly on Saban, because this is the first year there's been a halfway plausible chance that the man might leave Bama. And as nuts as this has been, it's *nothing* compared to when RR left Michigan and some thought they'd try to hire CLM (and *nothing NOTHING* like in '07 with the Natty/Michigan/Miles to Michigan stuff going on, though I don't remember if the CC board was alive then).
And as for drama and sources, BelowPar laughs at all of you.
Don't make the mistake of thinking the Coaching Changes board is about you or the team that you love. It's not. It's a lot bigger than that, and it's something you have to be around for a few years to truly understand.
