Easy to get blown away in an interview when you have to listen to Coach O and Miles speak the past decade.

What’s the over/under of games before the rant wants the OC fired?

He will be able to breakdown his system to each player simple. very smart

I know we all missed on Freeman and that blows. moving on

Whoever Coach O does want as his Def Co, Peetz hired as OC has to help. cOach like that to work with and can see building championships together

If Peetz does 75% of what Brady did he’ll be gone in 1 year.

He kinda looks like an old head. Talks a good game though.

So why did Orgeron totally waste a year with Pelini and Linehan, instead of hiring Peetz/Mangas/Brady types for 2020?

Oh I’ve bookmarked this thread and about three more just to bump them after the 3rd drive of the spring game when they start saying he was a failure of a hire.

Noticed when talking about the QB's he mentioned Max Johnson first, Brennan second and TJ third. Thats the way I see the depth chart shaking out. After watching Max down the stretch Ive been saying that he looks like the guy to run the type offense that we want to run.

He mentioned Max first because the questioner he was answering mentioned Max in his question. He mentioned Brennan next because he was explaining that the QBs could play in the same type system. Then, what you chose to ignore, he showed and stated his excitement about TJ's skill set.

He didn't show his hand on either QB, including Nussmeier. To allude to the order that he mentioned the QBs as having meaning, after viewing and listening to that video, is pulling something out of thin air or some other place to support your preferred QB order.

That's weird.

The fact that you are going to save this shite is sad

Peetz will be fine.

And LSU will have been in the playoffs. I take that every day of the week.

Ands Coach Peetz needs help with his pull out game!

He said it was about building that foundation to the point where the coaches trust the players to make certain plays, and the players trust the coaches to put them in positions to win.

Clearly a huge push from O during this coaching search is to find guys that the player can respect and trust. Which we clearly did not have this past season

I feel like new coaches always win the press conference haha.

This is far from true. Even with the ones who do, some are better than others. Peetz still has a lot to prove, but he certainly appears to be a smart guy with a solid plan.

I think he was looking for a couple of guys who would stay long term and avoid the turnover we had in the off-season. I’m glad to see him focusing on coaches on the rise after that ended terribly.

Guys like Venables aren’t the norm, but a rare exception. It doesn’t make sense to try and chase that model for stability when you need to be looking for talent and fit. Those guys are going to move on, usually in 3 years or less, but we saw last year that it’s worth it. So far, everyone we’re heard about on both sides of the ball is a younger coach on the way up.
