It’s pretty obvious. Wants the buyout, but will all this debacle be enough to fire for cause now I wonder?

No, until he's under contract with LSU, he's still the OM coach amd he's probably preparing for the playoffs. He's just forcing OM to make a move. Likely, last night they told him that they would and he's just ignoring it and going on about his day albeit lining up LSU things at the same time. He knows the hammer is coming, but they're going to have to put their foot down, he isn't going to do it for them. He's in a tought spot where he wants to have his cake and eat it too.
ETA: it sounds like things are deteriorating quickly over there though, so LSU has the upper hand now most likely. If they told him to shite or get off the pot, he's have to.

They will just put him on a leave of absence and let him raid the current Ole miss staff. Its a bad deal for ole miss.
