Herman & Aranda

Let me start by saying that I have followed TD for a long time, but have limited posts, so I expect feel the wrath of more accomplished posters....and trust me, any better insight I will always welcome. This is what I know...
Herman and Aranda are friends, and would like to work together in the future.
Herman wants Texas, Aranda doesn't have ties to another university.
Herman, while beating OK and LOU, lost 3 games in a bad conference.
Aranda, orchestrated one of the best defenses in recent LSU memory.
If they really want to work together, how on earth could Herman convince Aranda to leave BR for Texas, to go to a shite show in an inferior conference?
Throwing tradition aside, when was the last time Texas was more relevant than LSU?
And even if it was, why join a dying conference?
In my opinion, it's much more likely Aranda says "look at my defense, look what I did in the most dominant division in football....come take care of the offense brother...together we will dominate.
Bash me if you will TD'ers...i welcome it. I'm just a die hard tiger fan, 1000 miles away from the homeland, trying to figure out whats going on.
and go....

by default, Texas will always be more "relevant" than LSU

Only in the eyes of those wearing burnt orange and white glasses.....they are a dumpster fire.

Lol, no.
UT is a dumpster fire right now. If this was such an awesome job, why did they end up with steel in the first place? They are badly overrated.
They have money, but so does OSU, Oregon, and many others. These coaches are looking for a top tier school in a marquee conference without a full rebuild. LSU is a better job that UT right now.

Herman and Aranda would be a great pair on both sides of the ball. He should also look at the benefits in recruiting. He already has connections in Texas, and he can keep them while gaining a near right of first refusal with Louisiana prospects.

This makes so much sense that I find it strange it is on TD.
If Herman is as smart as they say he is, I think this makes sense.
