Being as UT hired Stong, who was midway down their list, Id say alot of people. Potential candidates take into account all of those distractions before just saying Ill take it because of the money.

Correct but these idiots will just take the headline and run with their usual bashing.

Exactly

Agree with Herbie that UT is an unstable, clusterfrick of a situation and LSU is a better job TODAY.

That said, at UT can at least say that their games don't get cancelled and not rescheduled.

They would be crazy to fire Charlie strong this year...he must have got left a real mac brown mess

Come on now. This is nothing but wishful thinking.

Charlie Strong has 2.5 seasons of a losing record. They've made zero progress. They're going to fire him after they get boatraced today.

Then he's a fricking idiot.

There's plenty to sell the LSU job over Texas without stupidly badmouthing one of the greatest, cleanest, and most cultured cities in the United States.

I think by "Austin" he is taking about UT not the city.

Strong is 13-16. He sucks. But they can't fire him, that's racist. So they are stuck. Bwaaaa

It's a losers' mentality to think that LSU has little chance of getting Tom Hermann if Texas wants him. LSU has everything a HC needs to be very successful on the national scene.

Okay thanks. I did not hear him and was only going by the previous poster's exact quote: "He called Austin a cesspool."

That's what I have said all along.

Big time rebuild IMO. Their defense is so bad and USC is still reeling from Carroll leaving... coach after coach..

LSU has shown they can maintain a coaching change once being established if an avg coach like Miles can come in and keep the program up.. imagine an actual above average coach with this type of talent. Sky is the limit.

LSU really should have their pick of any coach available.
