I now hate O and the group on that BOS. I am done until he is gone and I see major changes they won’t see a dime of my money

One heck of a first post. I hope you are completely full of crap, I fear you are not.

quote:I think O is all about having the power and control. Insecurity at the root of this. I’m sure that is why he and Canada clashed early. That he gets along with SE says SE is ok with a lower profile, where Canada wasn’t. No flashy, upcoming OC would be. We hired safe. We hired tired. We hired cheap. We hired to protect CEO’s insecure ego and give him the power and control he craves. We hired, except for Aranda, a nest of mediocrity.
Orgeron will likely try to take over.

When this experience the ends, Coach O is going to write a tell-it-all pop-up book explaing everything!

Oh man I hope you are wrong. Not only is Steve not qualified to be OC, paying him anything over 600k should be a felony.
He should literally be the 14th highest paid OC in the SEC
Should be, sure. But coaching isn't exactly a meritocracy. With salaries being public knowledge, why would anyone settle for less than competitive.
Ensminger may not make $1.5, but he won't be short of 7 figures unless they actually go the Co-OC route, at which point I would expect him to be at least $800k.

I only just saw your question. Apologies.
No , there was no conspiracy to remove Miles. The deck was stacked against him and he had a VERY short leash, but I at least agree with the move to let him go.
Did Orgeron see the shining opportunity and run away with it? Yes.
Its very possible that he knew what the rest of the Administration new: that Herman wasmt coming. And so began Os escapade to become HC.
As far as Miles being overthrown, im going to say no. Orgeron respects the hell out of Miles, as he should. He gave him the keys basically when he hired him.
Also very excited to see if Miles to Arizona has legs. Its the talk of the town. Will definitely be flying to see a few games if he lands the gig.

Administration and BOS are destroying the program

How much of an a-hole is Orgeron to pressure his friend into a job he doesn't want?

Yes - a man that lacked the nuts to go for one inch in the bowl game ............

Considering he used to try to fight ole miss reporters for publishing injury info, a pretty big a-hole

How bad is the division amongst the staff?

OMG - the former coach at Mandeville High was hired as an offensive analyst/
You cannot make this stuff up if you tried to.

If Miles doesn’t get the AZ job, do you think he would make a good AD, and would the power brokers support that?

Orgeron and Aranda have a great relationship. The only real friction was O and Canada.
I would have preferred Canada be the one to stay. Ive talked about this extensively. With Brennan at the helm this year, Canada would have had us operating at an 11 win level. Possible better.
His draw ups for Brennan would have torpedoed the SEC. And O would have had no choice but to play Canadas QB of choice.
