2008 Baylor 4–8 2–6 T–5th (South)
2009 Baylor 4–8 1–7 6th (South)
2010 Baylor 7–6 4–4 4th (South) L Texas
2011 Baylor 10–3 6–3 T–3rd W Alamo
2012 Baylor 8–5 4–5 T–5th W Holiday
2013 Baylor 11–2 8–1 1st L Fiesta
2014 Baylor 11–2 8–1 T–1st L Cotton†
2015 Baylor 10–3 6–3 4th W Russell

i would say thats building a shite hole into a Big 12 power...

lets add in Houston before Sumlin..

2003 Houston 7–6 4–4 T–6th L Hawai?i
2004 Houston 3–8 3–5 T–5th
2005 Houston 6–6 4–4 T–3rd (West) L Fort
2006 Houston 10–4 7–1 1st (West) L Liberty
2007 Houston 8–4 6–2 T–1st (West) Texas*

again, progressively got better, just like Sabans record.. and he BUILT both...

Im sorry, but if he were to come in and win, people would forget and I doubt he would make the same mistakes again..

He was at BAYLOR AND HOUSTON for gods sake... Not like he was at a major school! frick, he needs time to build... he doesnt have to do that at LSU.. he has the talent already there.. thats why Saban was able to turn Bama around so quickly, they already had good talent and his reputation made it easier for him to recruit

With far inferior talent than LSU gets every year. Plus, His record got better every year at second tier schools, because he built them up.

I read you but, think it's to soon for Briles. I don't care if it went higher or not, he knew, with 2 daughters, that bothers me. He has 2 daughters himself, that should bother him. That cloud needs to rain itself out.

Don't need a saint but lets move on. Bigger and better fish to catch.

Herman or bust if coach OEAUX doesn't get it done.

I disagree. His scheme works fantastic against weaker competition but fails against deep teams with great athletes. Before Briles did what he did at Baylor, Mike Leach did the same thing at Texas Tech. He set up a fast paced, spread offense and beat the hell out of bad and average teams and would lose when he had to play real teams with real defenses.

O should not get it... that is an emotional decision. not a logical one, don't act like a woman. and no there aren't that many bigger fish to catch.. Herman (albeit looks like a quality candidate) the jury is still out on him.. not a big enough sample of what he can do..

and I dont believe rape happens as much as it is cried out, ive seen lives ruined because of false accusations.

Men lie the most, women tell the biggest lies...

a mans lie, "yeah i was at the grocery store" (when he was really at the bar.

A Woman's lie... "Its your baby"

I'm equating what Leach did at Texas Tech with what Briles did at Baylor. Great success running an offense that gives lower rung team trouble but fails when it goes against decent top 25 teams.

Where are you getting this number from?

I just looked at Baylor's schedule from 2011 to 2015 on ESPN and I have his record against ranked teams at the time they played as 13-10

2011: 3-2

Wins against #14, #5, & #24

Losses against: #21 & #3

2012: 3-3

Wins against #1, #23, & #17

Losses against: #9, #25, & #12

2013: 3-2

Wins against #10 & #25

Losses against: #10 & #15

2014: 3-1

Wins against #9, #15, & #9

Losses against: #8

2015: 2-2

Wins against #6 & #10

Losses against: #12 & #19

So his record against Top 10 teams: 7-3

Also, his record against Stoops during that same time period: 3-2

2011 - WIN: 45-38
2012 - LOSS: 42-34
2013 - WIN: 41-12
2014 - WIN: 48-14
2015 - LOSS: 44-34

I think the difference is the record is against teams that ended that season in the top 25. Not top 25 when they played.

The PR people at LSU are among the worst in the business of college sports.

Record against ranked teams? He brought little ole Baylor who used to get excited about a 3 win season, to top 5 ranked in the nation. It's not like he had the resources of an LSU or Ohio St.

You've made your point, tactless but you've made it.

Briles will not get the job, to much luggage plan and simple.

One more thing tuff guy, a lot of women's lives have been ruined as well because they weren't believed.

God forbid you have to ever go through something like that with a relative.

Frick you and Briles

I think we are wasting our time talking about Briles. There is no way LSU would hire him as HC. We already have bad pub for the Miles fiasco last November. You can bet that the powers to be don't want another controversy.

In that case hire him!

13-10 is just what LSU wants
