He'll be making more than Kirby. He isn't in Kirby's zip code as a coach. I will cede he is a good play caller. If that's what you want for 14 mil. I guess he's your guy.

Ole Miss had 6 nfl draft picks last year and the best QB in the SEC(maybe nation) and they lost to lsu, Florida, and Kentucky Kiffin teams find ways to lose to worse teams every year . Brian kelly had a far better track record of “only” losing when getting out talented
I appreciate an honest analysis in this time of blinded hype.
He can win at LSU but this is a major risk that isn’t worthy of making him the highest paid coach in the sport.

I do think he’s given too much credit as a “troll.” I wouldn’t say anything he’s done during this situation is trollish. It all seems fairly normal on all sides to me.

Saban was the worst with how he left us. We also played like shite his last game

He had his family visiting Gainesville and Baton Rouge during a bye week and now the AD is announcing a formal decision next Saturday.
It’s anything but normal.

USC - fired on the tarmac.
People forget that Lane Kiffin took over right as USC got hammered by the NCAA. USC was hit with “lack of institutional control,” a two-year postseason ban, and 30 lost scholarships over three years, all tied to violations from the Pete Carroll era. Kiffin walked straight into one of the harshest sanction periods in college football history.

He’s the best available guy though
You have no idea if this is true. He's the most popular available guy. That is all

Too risky. I say we go ahead and fire him now and get it over with.

Very very very top heavy. And they lost their best player to Ohio St from the year before.
They are anchored by a very flawed portal model. But about the only shot a program like Ole Miss has being where they are in the pecking order. This is why there is even a discussion he would leave with them on the heels of being in the playoff. The success there at this level is virtually impossible to replicate year to year.

This takes the cake. Between the drama that comes with Kiffin and the drama we create for ourselves.

Coaching salaries are fluid. Kirby is working off a 2 year old extension. In 3years 14million will be closer to no 10 than no1.

So you still can't tell me why he is worth 14 mil. Got it. His name is popular. Doesn't mean he is the best available.

Saying DeBoer has accomplished more than Kiffin as a head coach isn’t a troll. It’s fact.
