Gruden to ND?

Normally don't have much inside scoop and I still think this is the most ridiculous thing ever but I heard from a bigtime ND booster that Gruden would be announced as ND's head coach tomorrow.
Now I don't know how the Meyer loss affects this and I still think it's hard to believe but this guy is way up there. All kinds of misinformation out there during coaching searches and I'll be here to take the beating if it's not true but just a heads up.

They have been pretty adament about wanting a guy who was successful at the college level. We'll see.

Yea and they should. I think Gruden is a great coach but NFL coaches and college coaches aren't the same thing. Patterson would be a better hire than Gruden IMO.

The local media have accepted stoops as a no go and moved on. The general feeling is it will go to Kelly. No time frame. There isn't any real saban or urban juice floating around.
I would bank on Kelly sometime next week personally.

FACT? Try RUMOR. He's said on record tomorrow he will entertain ND if they want to talk. I don't think he is #1 on their list, but I think they get down to him before someone accepts.
