Even if ESPN drops Monday Night Football, he could get a gig at another network. He might not be making $6.5 million a year, but he would be making $2 million - $3 million. Unless you have a coke problem or you're married to Imelda Marcos, that ought to be enough to support you or your family in style. And it's a hell of a lot less work and stress than being a college football/NFL coach. Even counting the preseason and playoffs, we're talking two-three days of work a week for half of the year.

Or he could make 7-8 million a year(with incentives could be 10m) following his passion. He already gets up every morning at 4AM and studies tape. He loves coaching football.

What you typed out may sound great to you, but most big time football coaches are completely different animals.
