don"t know about the rest of you, but my dad always held me to a higher standard than anyone else. he would have been more likely to fire me first.

This happened at Florida State a couple of years ago. Bowden fired his son who was calling the plays. He hired Jimbo Fisher afterwards.

I believe Jeff "stepped down" to save his dad from having to fire him. They were calling for Bobby's head if he didn't get rid of Jeff.

I worked with my dad for a number of years in his business. Finally figured out that I needed to leave and forge my own path or I'd always be in a subservient position to his authority and the stress that comes with that, plus I wouldn't meet my potential.
Ever since then, our relationship has been nothing short of terrific. I hope it works the same here for the Groh family..
