I didn't see enough success on his resume as a position coach in the NFL to warrant making the jump.

His Viking secondary was very young in his defense. Anthony Harris in particular was quite the center fielder the year before. He was rated as the 2nd best safety in 2019. Got the franchise tag.

In 2020, he had no picks and was primarily used for run support.

Again, it was his resume more than anything. The more I read, the more I like.
I'm going to cheer him on!

Damn! You must feel strongly about it if you've been moved enough to actually post!

Go write “Special teams are important” 1000 times on a blackboard.

Preach on. It’s been nice having reliable special teams. Our kicking and punting was the only thing we consistently did good last season. The guy can identify good talent. I have not a clue how he found that kid from the northeast that was so reliable at kicking field goals for one season.

I mean Nick Saban is 69 so he should have retired years ago?

McMahon has been fantastic and if anyone wants to bring up not bringing enough to the table in terms of recruiting: he got us Cade York, Cole Tracy, and now Todd from WM who were all at the very top at their position in their respective cycle. Under no circumstances do you force him out.
