USF didn’t have a team until 1997… it’s not even a 30 year old program.

The vast majority of its existence has been a bottom feeder to middling team, outside of a few rare years. This year with Golesh will likely end up being one of the best in school history.

Don’t know about every coach, but Cholly Strong sure did flop at Texass… after leaving USF.

Wrong. Strong went to USF after Texas.

He was originally at Louisville during the Teddy Bridgewater years that made him look better than he was

I wasn’t bullish on him before watching the game last night but yea he seems good. We could do worse than him but I’m still not 100% sold on him. At this point I still say go make Kiffin say no, then I guess we could go after him. I’m sure he’d be easy to get.

Willie Taggart also took over a struggling USF team, turned them around and went 11-2. He became the "it" coach and was hired by Oregon, flopped there, went to FSU, flopped there and then went to FAU, flopped and now coaches RBs for the Ravens.

Golesh may be great, but there isn't enough data to really make that determination.

Golesh took over a complete dumpster fire at USF and he had the offense rolling at Tennessee. He is my number #1
