he better have a good DC because going 3 and out with three passes is going to put a hurting on the arky defense

No... we have an interim coach.

I was wondering that last night during the press conference since he didn't once mention the Cotton Bowl. Who is the interim coach?

you should have petrino show up that afternoon just to call plays for the hell of it .. at least he'll get to coach d-mac, felix, hillis, and monk in one game ...

his offenses didn't put up bad rushing numbers at louisville .. they averaged about 185 yards a game on the ground in '06 .. pretty balanced numbers actually ...

Good hire R-KANSAS!! Just kidding. The guy is a good coach. The SEC West is going to be competitive.

However, i thought you had a good coach. I think Petrino will do well. He will win a SECCG if he stays there long enough. The problem with ARK is that they don't pump out as much talent as other states on a yearly basis. Every 3 or 4 years, the team is going to be really good. I just think this is the norm.

Overall, Petrino was a good hire.

I hate to throw this in there though that he is a smug and slimy person.

Very true. I wish we could lock the state down. We could have Brett helms, deangelo williams, ryan mallett, kodi burns, lee ziemba, joe adams. I'm sure I'm missing a few kids. But then again if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle.

i think this is what most people are overlooking with the petrino to arky thing. i see it as being very similar to spurrier at south carolina. they'll see some improvement, but not nearly as much as everyone is going to expect.

If you guys were little ol' Arkansas who never opened up the damn wallet to actually attract a "name" and TRY to go somewhere in football, would you not be a little excited?

Sorry we are not as fortunate as you...

i don't mean to rain on your parade. i think you guys will improve, you might even have a possible NC chance every once in a while similar to Mizzou or Kansas this year. i just don't think that arkansas has a strong enough recruiting base to be a consistent power and i'm tired of hearing people freak out, including scared LSU fans. petrino didn't dominate the big east with superior talent, i really don't see why people should be afraid of him. good for arkansas though, i've always liked arky

I didn't really mean this towards you....

I know what you're saying but I don't think most Arkansas fans are unrealistic. We just want to be consistent.

No, most Arkansas fans think they should be in the SECCG every year and should be on the same level as LSU. They think that Arkansas should be dominant like they were in the 60's just like Ole Miss fans. You are level headed but most people up here ARE NOT.
