Heard this several weeks ago but it's believed he turned us down because he wouldn't actually be calling the plays. But if this true..........

If Frank is going to uproot his family and leave LSU it will not be as a hired gun/recruiter which is what OM was trying to do and why he turned them down. When he leaves it will be for a true OC position with him calling plays or for a small school HC job. Why be a hired gun simply for his ties to New Orleans at a school other than LSU? He would still lose 90% of the battles to LSU no matter his ties. How many kids did he take from LSU at OM and Tennessee? Way less than 10% of the kids he went after.

Why would he ever leave home for the abomination of a staff? Not to mention that won't be his offense. That entire staff will be fired in two years. I seriously doubt this.

Old Myth is the one school desperate enough to pay an OC 1M just to land the inner-city athlete, without turning over the O to him..that's sad.

It would be one thing if working under Freeze were akin to being Saban's DC and learning from the very best at his craft.

Frank can do better, and will be an OC or HC in due time.

How many years did Freeze get on his contract? UM needs to give him an honest true 4 to 5 years to see if he can build it up.

Hopefully with Boone gone, UM will be run better, and the fans more patient win-or-lose with Freeze.
