Is Frank Wilson really to blame for recruits dragging their feet when the entire nation has been talking about LSU’s commitment to paying players whatever it takes to win. Even our new coach says in his introductory press conference that he doesn’t care what he makes, he picked LSU because they will pay the players the most. I’m thinking a lot of these star players families and mentors took note of this and are trying to get their cut of new NIL commitments by LSU before they sign.

So if the rumors about Frank or true, just let him go

So if Wilson isn’t to blame because its really all about the money, then he can’t be given props for recruiting either.

The whole era where “recruiting ties” mattered died with NIL.

I just don't know why it's so far fetched to believe that a highly ranked player might take a pause with the defense staff clearly in flux. By the way Frank gains lot of credit if he said if you are unsure then wait and didn't bullshite the kids into signing.

You can issue your apology to Frank here

So just being a normal person is now credit to someone making over a million a year? Pay me 750k, and i’ll tell people to wait and see if they arent comfortable too. Then you can give me all the credit. And lsu has half a million more dollars to go get kids to sign on the dotted line.

Why does everyone insist on setting the bar so low because of how you perceived recruiting a decade ago.

Why would I apologize to Frank Wilson. I was defending him. I didn’t say anything negative about the guy and the fact that Richard Anderson signed doesn’t invalidate my point. I was saying maybe the players and their families want more money before they sign. Perhaps they upped the offer to Anderson today. I forgot how illiterate some LSU fans are.

Despite the money thrown around to players now recruiters still have to go back to those schools and coaches. Relationships still matter. Is his signing any less valid because he waited a little bit.

This is not what the players and players parents are saying. The higher level players are selecting on $+Development. Today is proving you wrong.

How does that make me wrong?

Recruiting ties, dont mean anything. You respond by saying the players say im wrong because its about … and i quote… “$+development”

So everything I said it was about, and nothing to do with a person’s ties to a region.

Wilson has to be promising them hookers or something. Because the dude is a shitass coach and I refuse to believe these kids are walking away from being rich in their own states bc of "Frank Wilson"

Recruiting ties aren’t completely worthless these days. But with the money openly changing hands, having expert recruiters with close relationships in an area to help facilitate moving money behind closed doors isn’t nearly as valuable imo.
