LSU doesnt have to...thats what TAF is for...
TAF won't do that either.

Tubby's players generally stay out of trouble.
Although, every program has a few problems from time to time.
I think Tubby would be our best choice. Just imagine the instant hatred from the Aubbie fans.

1. He's a classless jerk. We already have one......Brady.............do we really need another one.
He's run a 'clean program', and who the hell cares about cigars?

2. Every year he wins games he shoudln't (Florida) and loses games he should win (USF).
So does every other coach (Saban-UAB, Miles-Arkansas)
plus, he's done something at Auburn that hasnt happened at LSU in 40+ years (a perfect season)

3. And he can't be very bright. How do you have a QB that sucks, like Brandon Cox, and in the 5 years Cox has been there you can't recruit another decent QB.
I'm seriously hoping you're not this myopic.

Rich Rodriguez lost to USF and he is in the drivers seat for a MNC.

Why would he leave Auburn for LSU?
he wouldn't... why?
we have a coach - His name is Les Miles
6 mil buyout
it's not a promotion
Since this entire thread is beyond belief, try this on for size.. Why not Houston Nutt?
Head to Head... Nutt vs Tubbs... Nutt leads(with less talent, less money, smaller program). Any other stupid suggestions? Good God people, we have a coach.. a damn good one! We can worry about all this crap if we lose him (or if the rantards run him off).

1. classless or not, he wins football games. and would you really be saying this had it not been for the cigar incident? one time people
2. i really hope the "loses games he shouldnt" is not your argument and you want miles to stay. arkansas, kentucky, tennessee, keep the list rolling. i think the only time miles has lost where he should have lost was to uga in the seccg
3. im not even touching this bc it is just that stupid
i would love tuberville, but im sure our stupid fanbase would sabotage it somehow

Tubby would leave Auburn if he got a long term contract. That's what he wants but Auburn won't give him one. Tubby is 9-2 against top 5 teams and has beaten his biggest rival 6 times in a row

Isn't TT pretty much a CEO type of coach? Seems like he gives his coordinators wide latitude. He's never been as hands on as guys like Saban and Spurrier.
Posted on 11/24/07 at 11:28 pm to Morgus
I was under the impression he was fairly hands on with the defense.
Posted on 11/24/07 at 11:30 pm to Morgus
Tubby was a defensive assistant at miami before becoming a HC.
He has influenced Muschamp, but I dont think he "makes all the calls" or "overrides the calls very often".

So?

because he was backstabbed by Lowder.
I'd take him. Used to be I wouldn't have but the last four years he has stepped it up.
He'd win and not get us on probation. That is all I really care about.
and his players make the pros.

I'd rather LSU were to search outside of the SEC for their next head coach.
Posted on 11/25/07 at 5:42 am to Boy_of_wonder75
Miles came from outside the SEC. I would rank Spurrier and Tuberville neck and neck. They understand the SEC and have a proven track record here.

Last time O-Linemen had a say so in the hiring of the HC at LSU, we ended up with this guy......
Cash, I know, that one was too easy.
