He'll be back in college in a year or two thou, whether he likes it or not. The NFL will run him out if things don't turnaround.

I like to think he'll be at LSU in 2017.

But does Kelly? If he hates it, wouldn't that likely be how the attitude and culture of his program is?

Kelly never had a problem attracting players to fit his scheme. He may not like to recruit but his offense draws kids in. On top of that, he is an excellent coach & game planner, which makes up for his lack of recruiting. Assistants do the grunt work anyway.

Recruiting at Oregon is nothing like LSU.

He had to recruit nationally at Oregon. Fly to California and Texas toget a majority of his players.

At LSU he could field a team with kids who live no more than a two hour drive from BR.

You also probably Get a bigger budget to hire assistant coaches that can recruit.

So you're saying Fedora isn't actually being considered? Because he is about on par with Kelly when it comes to recruiting. Kelly being a bad recruiter because he doesn't like it isn't worse than Fedora just being a shite recruiter.

I think the bigger issue than his recruiting disdain is that he would be a rental coach. As soon as he has success at LSU he will jump back to the NFL, he thinks of himself as an NFL coach, not a college coach!

When I first heard this I thought deal breaker but to be honest, if he could recruit well enough to have oregon at the top of the CFB world, he may be alright here. Maybe.
