So you are saying Les lets his OC call their own plays?? You will get people ready to fight with them words, cuz we all know Les is dictating the calls.

Reading this thread is just more overwhelming evidence to the complete ignorance or the personal agenda pushing fan base.

And when a reporter says "he wanted comments off the record", MAYBE he didn't want the exact comments quoted but cliff notes were fine. He didn't say Les didn't want no one to know he was not interested in Michigan. There can be many reasons why he didn't want his comments to be on the record!!! If you can't understand that concept then reading comprehension is an obvious issue.

Like him or hate him; believe him or not, Les said that he was not interested in the Michigan job!!

The funny thing is most people think Les is an idiot, even though countless coaches and players say how smart he is; not to mention he has a degree in Economics from a much higher regarded academic institution than I am guessing the vast majority who critic him attended.

I am not saying he is a genius or trying to say he is not "quirky", but to say he is dumb........ I doubt such a dumb SOB had fooled so many people to rise to the level of accomplishment he has in his profession.

This comment was about not wanting to publicly state that he is not interested in the head coaching job there, as to not make the university that he attended look bad.

My agenda is that I just like to poke holes in the arguments from the other side. I haven't stated on here a single time that I hope Les leaves. Les will either stay or leave and I have no effect on his nor Michigan's decision.

In a perfect world, Les Miles would continue to recruit the obscene amount of talent that we have had here at LSU in his tenure, but he would take his own advice from Oklahoma St and "Let er rip". Instead we hide from out quarterbacks and make them look much worse than they actually are. Therefore, we get pigeon-holed into an absurdly run heavy offense and a game plan that simply hopes to keep the game close so that we can win it in the 4th quarter. Many times that game plan works, other times it bites us in the arse. It bites us too many times than our talent level dictates.

Cauble said on the radio this morning that Michigan has never made a real offer. If Michigan came hard at him he would have really considered it but that has not happened. So unless that happens he is staying here.

Not responding to any direct comment, just relaying what was said in regards to the discussion between the reporters and Les "off the record."

Some drink alot and some dont. A couple heavy drinkers are pro miles and a couple light drinkers are nega miles. I really dont think that has anything to do with it.
Id bet it has more to do with how much people follow the ins and outs of the game. Who follows the minute details vs those more interested in the end result.

I would like to know of the people who dislike Miles as a coach is a "football" fan versus just an LSU fan. Let me explain, I watch a lot more football than just LSU. When doing such, I see some really head scratching sh-t. I also listen to experts discuss coaches, teams, plays, etc.

Saying this does not take away my immediate frustrations I have when watching LSU, but it does put in perspective that there are VERY few coaches and teams that don't make errors that seems completely mind blowing. Hind sight being 20/20 I am sure many coaches/players would like the opportunity to change decisions after watching film.

The problem is, when you only watch LSU you only see the problems we have. You also are comparing our "issues" against records of other teams. Case in point, TCU was horrific last year (4-8) and they blew an ENORMOUS (21 pt in one quarter) lead this year to Baylor. If Les would have had a losing record in the SEC (not to mention in the Big 12) the crazies would burn down Tiger Stadium to have him fired. Gary Patterson is a defensive coach, how could he let his team blow a 21 pt lead in the 4th quarter???? However, his record is pretty solid this year and most tards on this board are begging to have him as a coach. And I would be happy with him as well if Les were to leave.

This is not to piss on Patterson, I think he is a good/great coach. Nor Nick Saban for letting Auburn beat him last year with a field goal return. With that said, it provides prospective to the game and coaches. While it is painful to see mistakes made by our coaches and team; I do feel we have a great coach and great players who typically represent LSU very well. That pain, anger, and disappointment is just part of being a fan.
