For the Coach O fans

How would you feel if Aranda got the job instead. O goes back to AHC + RC + DL, or maybe he does know a bit about defense and gets a shot at DC. Think we'd be more or less successful in the long run?

No idea but it would insure keepering a badass defense

I'd bet good money O wouldn't stay after finally getting his shot, turning this team completely around, and then they handing it to the new guy with absolutely no HC experience.
A lot depends on how this team finishes, though.

Agreed, but maybe they wanted to give the interim to Aranda but felt like he didn't know the players enough to motivate them and turn the season around. I think we can all agree if anybody on the coaching staff could motivate the team it'd be Coach O.

I want a guy who can consistently develop quarterbacks. After 11 years of Les Miles, i thought most fans would be on the same page, but the fans aren't, and the admins probably aren't either. One of the knocks i have against O, and in this case, Aranda.

So its ok to gamble on a coach that has no HC experience but not coach O?

Maybe Ed knows a bit about defense?!?! The man has been coaching defense for three decades. You think he may have picked up a thing or too along the way?!?!?

To me 0 HC experience with success at DC is less of a gamble than really really bad experience as a HC. Would you rather hire someone that got fired at their last 3 jobs or someone with a degree but no work experience?

6-2 at USC is not really bad.
That's not bad at all actually and if he was coach all season probably top 10.
