The possibility of Saban @ Texas is quite exciting. Even though LSU has stood toe to toe with Bama since Saban's arrival at Bama, it will be nice not having to face a Saban team each year.

Downside - Recruiting. No one will convince me that Saban at Texas helps LSU recruiting. LSU recruits the state of Texas hard, and it's likely that will take a hit if he goes to UT. Also, he's next door to Louisiana, where he already gets a couple of good players each year.

Ultimately, I think it is a good thing, but I'm just not sold that it helps with LSU's recruiting

That's fine. I can't read every post of every topic in the rant.

Quite the opposite. Recruits will now have to choose between the SEC and Saban.

I totally agree there.

Again guys, I'm not saying it's terrible and LSU won't be able to recruit anymore. I'm not a negatiger. Forever LSU

Saban to Texas definitely helps LSU. There is so much talent in Texas that Saban won't have to leave the state. And he won't feel the need to hurt LSU by taking away Louisiana players as he does now. And there will still be plenty of talent in Texas for LSU to get a couple of key players each year.

I really hope that's the case. Just wanted to share my thought on it. That's all.

TX for years has always gotten who they mainly want in TX. We have cherry picked a few away, as they have from us. I see that being the same way with Saban at the helm.

UT cannot take all the blue chips that want to play there. We'll still be able to get the few kids a year we need from Texas.
