A source Sunday told FootballScoop that LSU continues to see if there's interest from Jimbo Fisher in a reunion with his former boss, Scott Woodward, who hired Fisher to his present post at Texas A&M, as well as a return for Fisher to LSU.
The other potential LSU candidate continuing to be discussed for the LSU job is Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley. Scott Woodward knows a Riley hire would bring a new found level of excitement to the Bayou.
Multiple current Power 5 assistants in recent days have told FootballScoop that Riley's name continues to circulate among the industry and within coaching circles.

I believe multiple outlets did that, including ESPN. I distinctly remember an ESPN breaking news scroll about it.
But these things are fluid. It's nearly impossible for the news to keep up with someone changing their mind in real time.
I tend to believe there was an agreement with Herman, it got out, and he changed his mind.

There is only one reason I believe this story has credibility and that is our history of making stupid decisions on coaching hires. If we hire Mel Tucker based on one good season........the program deserves what it gets.

We'd be hiring Tucker or Napier because they coached for Saban, and we're obsessed with Saban.
