Coach turns down job = LSU didn't want him.

Says the guy who’s former AD tried like hell to hire Rich Rod over Saban and had to be turned down to move on. Glass houses and all.

We can't even lose when we try, because we're Bama.

Do you think he would still say no for 10 million per year? Yes. Completely. Especially if he thinks he'll eventually get that from a school closer to his regional preference

What world do y’all live in? I make a damn good living, ain’t struggling to pay the light bill, but if someone offered to double my salary they could move me to Guam.

Name the Top 5 college coaches and then which one is coming to LSU. If you cannot find the answer in Top 5 then go to Top 10 ...

By the time the year is over. Ryan Day been projected for Nfl already. Another strong finish and I believe that's a done deal. I think that's only the natural progression. He waits 2 years at most and the premier job in Ohio is open. I don't think i can blame him in that scenario. Not like Day will have substantial drop off in that conference.

Half of any raise would go to taxes.

Life isn't that much different if you're making 5 mill or 10 mill.

If his 47 kids and wife love it in Ohio and don't want to live in a swamp then it's easy to say no.

Fickell has his eye on 2 jobs, Ohio State and Notre Dame.

He didn’t turn down the job. He wasn’t offered. The media is throwing out every name and then asking the coach if he’s interested.

Every coach will be “not interested and committed to their team” for the next 6 weeks. It’s all a rehearsed speech.

So if Fickell wants an "out" written into his contract for the Ohio State job do you still hire him?

Urban Meyer had that clause in his Florida contract

I completely believe it, the guy doesnt want to leave Ohio or he's waiting for a job thats close enough to Ohio.

He wants the tOSU gig. It aint coming open for next 5 yrs. So Fickell might as well go make a name for himself for when it does come open if he still wants it...

He has a legit chance to bring his G5 team to the playoffs and have a shot at a natty. He isn’t leaving unless they start losing

In which case he would not be as attractive a candidate....
